AF-S Nikkor 80-400mm 4.5-5.6G
13 Sep 2013 -
Just got the new lens, the brand new AF-S Nikkor 80-400mm 4.5-5.6G. I haven't had an opportunity yet to try it out in a more fitting environment like sports, but my son will play this coming weekend, so hopefully there will be some new material.
These images was to try the new image stabilization that claims four stops of vibration reduction. They were all taken on a foggy morning.
The first image is of our milk can in our garden. This picture is taken some 10 meters away from it. Good sharpness and very nice bokeh.
This flower is photographed handheld (like all pictures) from about three meters away. Really good sharpness, but still pretty quick shutter.
Same distance but another flower. This time at 1/25 and ISO 100. As you can see, the image stabilization is working really really well. Without it, this image would have been if not impossible, pretty improbable.
So far really satisfied, more shots coming soon.
